Leisure

Mersea is far from being a typical commercialised seaside resort. It has a distinct island character with something to please every age group.

At the Festival you’ll meet local artists, photographers and crafts people. Try out;-making greeting cards and jewellery;- creating a work of art;- composing the perfect photograph;- putting the brush to canvas or sewing a traditional quilt.

Or if you prefer to sit back and be pampered, there’ll be therapists offering;- Indian head massages;- foot treatments and more.

Meanwhile, on the homes' front, those in search of the perfect blind, cushion or other soft furnishings will be spoilt for choice from the array of specific stands on show. You might even come away from the festival having placed an order for your very own bespoke freestanding kitchen units!
